Blog #2

In Up against Wal-Mart, page number 343 "The way they pay you, you cannot make it by yourself without having second job or someone to help you".This sentence cut my attention because when I came this country, I worked in supermarket as a cashier, where they paid me $6.50 per hour, that mean $250 a week. How would I survive with out having a second job or help? I got second job, but I could not do it because standing sixteen hours a day isn't easy task.My husband have a good job that helps me.Otherwise it would be hard within minimum wage. For example, rent, electricity bills, telephone bills, food and many things. While I was working, I realized that I have to go school.Without study, my life will be more difficult that'swhy I enrolled in Laguardia college hoping for learning and being an educated person. I wrote little out of topic the last sentence.
I think this will be my begining of my essay, but I will correct, take off some sentences, and add more.

My first job experience in New York.

Hi my name is Shova. When I came in New York, got job in a supermarket as a cashBoldier.Where I got minimum wage, but I was happy because my English was not good and didn't have any experience in New York.So I used to think I am lucky working in there.I worked there about one and half years. Then one day I asked my manager that I need a week vacation. He said, "you have to wait more than a month and would not paid a vacation".Then I was so upset and looked for another job; by the time, my English had a little improved and I got work experience. Then I got another better job where they paid me more than that supermarket. My point is majority of supermarket don't pay good money, but once we get experience then look for new job.Do not stay there for forever.
